A little bit about Janice
I attribute my love of baking to my mother Teresa (Becker) McCabe. I grew up on a farm in Waukon, Iowa and from the age of seven, I was tied to my mother’s apron strings in her heavenly kitchen. My mother was a fabulous cook, and consequently everything she created came from her natural ability. I watched and helped her religiously and thanks to my wonderful mother, I have been blessed with the same talent. Thank you mom. In 1969, I moved away from the farm and took a job in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and after 24 years of employment I ventured off to start my very own business. At last I followed my heart and found myself back in the kitchen again only this time I was getting paid for what I love to do. In 1993, “Janice’s Irresistible Baking” was born. Fifteen years have passed and I am still fulfilling my dream by creating wedding and all occasion cakes with much success and great rewards. I was never really happy with the icings I purchased or made. I found them too heavy and much too sweet. I started my icing business later in life. That of course never bothered me because I never quit, and it is a perfect example of the hard working All American Girl that I am. After many years of experimenting, test after test, I submitted my final recipe for approval. To my delight, my vanilla and chocolate icings were approved and are now being marketed. “My Main Ingredient is Perfection” and always has been. When you order and taste “The Icing of the Future” containing less calories, less sugar, natural flavoring with no added preservatives, you will be delighted and amazed.
